Wilder Hyde were joined by the Manticore and Thestral troops of Scouts on two evenings in May. The aim was to plant wildflower seeds in Hyde, in front of houses where residents had requested them! This is the second year of this lovely initiative and we started by showing the Scouts the successful results of last year’s planting before embarking on weeding, seeding and sweeping all over again. It was a great opportunity to tell these enthusiastic young people about Wilder Hyde and its purpose and to talk about insects and bees and wildflowers in particular. We look forward to more adventures with local Scouts!
